Is the belt registering confusing?

Normally we use a number to refer to a grade or degree in taekwondo. And the grades got a color. Most systems use the 10th. to 1st. Gup/Cup/Kup as student grades. With the belt colors white/yellow/green/blue/red and stripes/tags.
But there’s also systems with other colors like orange/purple/brown.
To make this site universal for all TKD, there’s only belts, and you can pick and choose belt colors when filling out grading history.
Was this confusing? Should it be different?

From a technical point of view, this is the best solution. The alternative would be to only use Gup/Dan names as ranks, but then we would not be able to use any colored belts on the site at all. And I think it's a bit prettier with colors anyway :)

Yes if you let me know the colors the stripes need to have for each belt, then I can update that. Very easy :)

Basically it’s the color of the next belt. So yellow on white, green on yellow, blue on green, red on blue and black on red. This is for ITF, but there’s other org. with other systems.

Yeah the issue is that it would really only make sense to implement if it's something generic across all belt systems. Otherwise someone will be "left out" :)
Right now, it's possible to add up to three stripes to each colored belt. I made the stripes black to make them kind of generic.

my recent experience - took me a while to figure out how to select my belt; also quite confusing is that i cannot enter the grading date for a stripe. in CZ the stripes have the same significance as the main colors. Also got little confused about the other colors available ( = those not introduced in encyclopedia). didn't see anywhere explanation if this is strictly TKD portal or any martial art with TKD techniques and crazy color belts
